Police are still piecing together details of a four-wheeler accident that seriously injured a Calvert man.
Officers say Thursday afternoon, 83-year-old Dennis Williams, who also goes by Dave, was riding his four-wheeler in the 100 block of West Texas Street in Calvert when he lost control.
Police say it appears he was thrown off the vehicle and then run over.
Williams was air-lifted to Scott and White and Temple. His condition was unknown Thursday night.

Hello city perosn but I live out in the country.I HAVE LOST CONTROL OF A FOUR WHEELER. I am 27 years old and i was thrown and the four wheeler rolled almost on top of me but an angel carried me out of danger. And 83 years old isnt to old to be riding a fourwheeler. Shoot, if hes driving a fourwheeler there aint no telling what else hes doing, probably doing more than what you can think about in a day.

Reminds me of this fellow that drives his motorized wheelchair on Cavitt at all hours. Just a matter of time.

No offense intended, but 83 seem a bit long in the tooth to play Motocross. How did he get ran over ? by the ATV or another vehicle ? I know ATV's are illegal in City limits, but there are many people living just outside town that ride them safely enough in neighborhoods.
