The sale will go on Saturday despite an afternoon fire at the Navasota Livestock Commission auction barn.
The blaze broke out shortly after 4 pm Friday at the Cow Talk Steak House which is connected to the barn. Volunteer firefighters from Navasota, Anderson and South Brazos County had the situation under control in less than an hour.
The restaurant took the brunt of the fire but the barn did suffer some roof and office damage. No one, including animals, was hurt.
Saturday's sale will be at the Mid Tex auction barn, approximately two miles east of Navasota Livestock Commission, on Highway 90.

Can someone tell the real story in regards to why a brand new auction barn just two miles down the road from Navasota Livestock Auction was built?

To:Annie---Do you work at the Sheriffs Dept and if you do you dont have no room to talk cause you only been there 5 months and apperently you fell in with the right crowd! This county needs a new Sheriff someone that will lead this department not look for photo-ops and play Texas Ranger. After you been with the department for 4 or 5 years you will see what all the hype is about.
