The person believed to be responsible for Saturday night's deadly accident on FM 2154 has been arrested.

Kasey Lynn Vanhoose, 22, of Sunset, Texas has been charged with intoxication manslaughter.

He remains in the Brazos County Jail on $50,000 bond.

According to the Brazos County Department of Public Safety, Vanhoose and his friend Bradley Abbe, 21, of Idaho had left Chilifest and were headed north on FM 2154, when Vanhoose lost control of his pick-up truck near Henderson Road.

The vehicle reportedly veered off the road and into a ditch. Vanhoose tried to over-correct, but the truck flipped and skidded across the roadway before hitting a tree.

Abbe was thrown from the vehicle and died. Vanhoose was not injured.

Authorities say Vanhoose was talking on his cell phone at the time of the crash, and was intoxicated.

Neither of the two men were wearing seat belts.

FACT: This is an unfortunate situation with no good outcome for either boy. FACT: Both boys should have made better decisions on April 4th. FACT: Brad and Kasey were not best friends - hadn't known each other long. FACT: Kasey failed FST. FACT: Kasey admitted to driving at a high rate of speed while steering with his knees and taking a chew of Copenhagen (don't think this is taught in drivers education classes). FACT: Kasey chose to drive drunk. FACT: Brad chose to get into the vehicle with Kasey and unfortunately lost his life because of this decision. FACT: I love Brad dearly and will miss him every day of the rest of my life as will his family and friends. Brad had such a good heart and he was a man who loved life and lived it as such. He believed that when God decided his time was up that God would take him. Brad, we know you are in heaven with those that you loved and lost during your short life and we know will see you again one day son. Love, MOM

I wish that everyone would keep there negative thought's to themselve's, the family is grieving enough without having to read your rude comments about the situation. I agree with the comment below mine, it could of been the other way around, I feel very bad for the driver, he is suffering enough knowing that he was the cause of Brad's horrible accident, so quit with the hateful comments towards him!! Some people don't think about a damn thing, and people's feeling's before you they open there mouth, but maybe you guys should start, i cant express my feelings enough towards that!! My thought's and prayer's go out to both family's!!! The funeral yesterday was a great turn out, and it just goes to show how many people really loved and cared about brad!!! May Brad Abbe Rest in Peace!!!!
