Two 20-year old men now know what hundreds of Taliban fighters found out the hard way. Huntsville resident and decorated war hero Marcus Luttrell doesn't give up.

Luttrell, a former Navy SEAL, was at his Huntsville home on the morning of April 1 when he heard a gunshot and a vehicle speeding away. Outside he found his beloved yellow lab Dasy shot to death.

The Department of Public Safety says Luttrell got in his vehicle and chased the suspects through three counties before they were finally stopped by police in Onalaska.

Michael Edmonds II, 21, and Alfonzo Hernandez, 24, were arrested and charged with cruelty to an animal. The driver was ticketed for no drivers license.

Luttrell gained national attention in 2005 when he and three fellow Seals battled 150 Taliban fighters on a remote mountaintop in Afghanistan. One hundred Taliban were killed, Luttrell was the only survivor out of his group. He managed to evade enemy captors for six days before being rescued.

The Sam Houston State University graduate was awarded the Navy Cross for combat heroism by President George W. Bush.
