A temporary ambulance service could be named by Tuesday to serve areas in Leon County where EMS is no longer provided.
County Judge Byron Ryder said Monday a group of county leaders will meet to consider three EMS companies. While he declined to identify the providers, Fort Bend County-base Aemstar is believed to be one of the finalists.
Parts of Leon County, including Buffalo, Oakwood and Flo, have been without ambulance service for one week. Residents in the those areas will vote next month on an Emergency Service District which would fund a permanent EMS.

Hmm. The poster bashing GEMS sounds a lot like a person who's name starts with a S and ends with an O. Horrible person, run out of all of the local counties and can't get hired anywhere locally because of their reputation with misstreating patients and ambulance equipment. That person isn't hireable at Legacy, GEMS, RCEMS, or SJEMS.

The anonymous post degrading Guardian EMS sounds like a disgruntled former employee who was fired for neglegence and failing to perform properly as an EMT. The calls they specify are probably the ones they were on, and they probably didn't check their truck off and were also carrying expired meds. Those problems were fixed as soon as the below poster was "let go". As far as transfers are concerned, only emergency transfers to a higher facility are allowed to be run from MCSHC ER. Which is no different than taking a 911 call to SJRHC ER or CSMC ER when MSJHC is not a proper recieving facility. I belive anyone can look up any EMS services black marks via the State EMS website. As far as Legacy EMS as a potential coverage provider, either company would be fine and cover the contract as specified in the agreement.

I disagree with the last post from Madison County. If you knew anything about Legacy EMS, you would know that they give the best care for the patients. They care more about the safety and well being instead of (how much money can we (GEMS) make off of them.
