Internet shopping is not a new trend.

Millions surf the web every day looking for deals.

But, it can be pricier to check out online, because of shipping costs.

However, it doesn't have to be.

Have you ever noticed a box when you're checking out online that asks for a promo code? These codes can save you money, and they're easy to find on several different websites.

Try retailmenot.com. Just search for the store you're buying from, take Macys.com for example. Click on Macys.com and several promo codes pop up.

Just copy and paste the code that coincides with your purchase into the promo code box.

This is something that I do all the time. Sometimes you find a promo code that works, sometimes you don't. But it's always worth a try. I found a promo code that took $20 off a wedding or shower gift bought on Macys.com. Much better than spending full price.

Here are a few other websites where you can find money saving promo codes.

Try freeshipping.org. This site offers you free shipping coupons to more than 1,300 stores.

Also, currentcodes.com and keycode.com are sites where you can find promo codes to help you save money.

So, before you checkout, take a few minutes to search for a promo code. I saved $20, but you could save more.

There are so many ways to save. Be creative and look around the net. A site that I enjoy is www.ManyMoneySavers.blogspot.com and its sister site www.ManyMoneySavers.com. There are lots of great moneysaving ideas and tips as well as freebies.

Thanks for the money saving tips. There really isn't a reason to pay full price with all the coupons and price comparison sites on the web. Try promo-code.com and wow-coupons.com for more deals.

I always try to find a promo or coupon code when I buy something online. Even if it's just free shipping, it helps! I use Savings.com because they seem to have codes for almost any website you can think of. Plus I've had problems with expired codes on other websites in the past, but Savings.com seems to update their codes so I've never had any issues.
