Flood Warning Canceled; Road Closure Updates

The National Weather Service has canceled the flood warning for the Navasota river near Normangee. After cresting to over 20 feet Friday, the river level has dropped to below its 15-foot flood stage.

May 4th UPDATE. Here is a list or roadways that are closed due to flooding or flood damage:

BRAZOS COUNTY
OSR, is now open.

MADISON COUNTY

OSR, from the Navasota River to FM 1452 is open.

OSR, from FM 1452 to Normagee is closed for repairs. Today, TxDOT let an emergency contract to replace cross drainage culverts washed out due to the extensive rainfall at two different locations in this stretch of OSR. This project should take approximately 30 days to complete and work is expected to begin May 6, 2009.

FREESTONE COUNTY
SH 75 is closed from FM 833 to Spur 114 due to flood damage over the Tehuacana Creek.
Interstate 45 is down to one lane at the Tehuacana Creek. Motorists should expect minor delays.
Today, TxDOT is letting an emergency contract to replace a bridge joint on the northbound outside lane of I-45 at Tehuacana Creek Relief Bridge and to replace a bridge approach to the Tehuacana Creek Relief Bridge on SH 75 damaged due to extensive rainfall last week. This project should take approximately 10 days to complete and work is expected to begin on May 6, 2009.

WASHINGTON COUNTY
FM 1155 is now closed between SH 105 and FM 1370 in Old Washington at Jordan Creek. There is cross structure damage due to flooding and this roadway will be closed for awhile. Motorists should use FM 912 for their detour. Currently, TxDOT is developing an emergency contract to fix this damage. Work should take approximately five weeks to be complete.

Is hwy 50 West closed close to Linn, MO on the way to Jeff City, going to Lake of the Ozarks?

2038 was closed yesterday past 1179 when it turns to dirt road close to the creeks and the river does anyone know if it is still closed

For OSR closing. You have "only through traffic allowed" and it should say "no through traffic allowed" as the sign says at OSR and Hwy 46.
