Horses rescued from a North Texas ranch are finding homes here in the Brazos Valley. Two area rescue organizations were given custody of the neglected horses earlier this month. So far they have found homes for almost 40 of them.
Friday afternoon the people who head up True Blue Rescue and Bluebonnet Equine Rescue were headed back to Sulphur Springs to pick up the remaining animals. The organizers with the rescue operations tell News 3 the local communities have been very giving both in their donations and their offers to receive the horses into Foster Homes.
Last month Hopkins County Deputies along w/ the local rescue groups seized 57 horses from a woman who they say was unable to properly care for the animals. Two weeks later the courts ruled the original owner no longer had rights to the horses and awarded them to the Bluebonnet and True Blue Rescue.

people just don't understand how much it really costs to raise horses... they can't just graze on grass... they need to be fed like any other animal...they need immunizations..like any other animal. These are magnificent animals and should be treated with respect..not neglect.
