Guaranty Bank of Navasota is now accepting donations for the family of 16-year-old Jessica Mattern.
She died just before 7:00 Wednesday night on F.M. 3090, about eight miles north of Navasota.
According to D.P.S., the Suburban she was in flipped after the driver, 15-year-old Amanda Alfarro somehow lost control and over-corrected.
Alfarro was rushed to a nearby hospital along with her 4-year-old sister, Mary Elizabeth Alfarro, 4-year-old Sierra Simmons and 15-year-old Merricka Ybarra.
Sierra Simmons was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. We're told she is improving in the hospital.
Mary Elizabeth Alfarro and Ybarra were sent to the College Station Medical Center and have since been released.
The driver Amanda Alfarro was also treated and released.
If you would like to donate you can go to any Gauranty Bank. The account is set up in name of the mother, Crystal Simmons.
You can also donate at Wrangler Steakhouse in Navasota.

CM - you're writing is a wonderful example of babble. Here's a quote from your first comment: "two children lost their lives... because God gave them a certain number of days. There is no one to blame here... and regardless of who was driving, they would have gone to heaven when they did. Pure, simple truth is, God is in control." That's a very clear, definitive statement (wrong, but very clearly worded.) And here's your second comment: "God also gave us free will. When we chose to do things or make decisions that go against what He wants for us (like drive illegally) He then can't control what happens." Well, which is it??? Also I am reposting a serious question that I think many people have, but KBTX censored it the first time. Here goes - I feel very sad for victims and their families, one of the worst possible tragedies that could happen, but why should I send them money? What would the donations be used for?
