The hot weather may have influenced one local suspect's choice in stolen goods.
Police say Julian Villalpando, 26, took three window air conditioning units Tuesday from Target in College Station.
He allegedly put the units in his shopping cart and walked right out of the store. But he didn't get far, Target's manager was able to detain Villalpando in the parking lot until police arrived.
He's now cooling his heels in jail where he's charged with theft.

He is not an illegal I happen to know this dude, personally. You don't know anything about him or where he comes from. It doesn't excuse his behavior, but if the system would prepare formerly incarcerated individuals for life after prison then 75% of them would not come back out and reoffend. It cost the taxpayers more money to warehouse inmates than it does to rehabilitate and prepare them for the life they face afterwards. Again it doesn't excuse his behavior, but rather than gripe about it do something about it and lobby for rehabilitation rather than warehousing in the prison system.

"Poor Julio, if he was working so hard he wouldnt need to steal and cost the taxpayers of BCS more money." His name is not Julio, its Julian. Yes, he should pay for his crime but why do you all assume that he is an illegal?
