Texas A&M's University Police Department is investigating a break-in at the Bright Football Complex.

It's believed the burglary may have happend late Monday evening.

According to Associate Athletic Director Alan Cannon, items were stolen from the locker room area. That includes some football equipment, though the extent of the theft had not yet been confirmed by UPD or the AD's office.

Cannon also said athletic tape had been used to write the words "The Eyes of Texas Are Upon You" on the carpet of the locker room. Having walked through the room, Cannon said nothing had been carved or etched into any of the property in the locker room.

No computer equipment appears to have been taken in the break-in, according to Cannon. There have been prior incidents where computers had been taken from Bright.

UPD Chief Elmer Schneider says investigators are on the scene of the break-in searching for clues.

The Bright Football Complex houses the Aggie Football locker room, athletic training room, rehabilitation complex, meeting rooms, coaches offices and players' lounge.

The complex is named for Harvey "Bum" Bright '43, a former chairman of the Texas A&M Board of Regents and former owner of the Dallas Cowboys.

I doubt very seriously that a TRUE Longhorn Fan would leave a calling card. that's going to implicate and hurt the school. it's a hater! may not even be a fan of A&M or UT but knew they could throw a scent towards someone else. Aggies have cut off the Longhorn Logos Horns out part of the astroturf at Texas a few years ago and spray painted around the place. so they are no perfect either.

Sounds like an inside job to me. Do you know how long it would take to spell that out in athletic tape? They don't have any leads so they probably made that part up to make it look like Longhorns did it. Imagine the burglar's disappointment when he went to raid the trophy case.

"this would NOT have happened had Mr. Pickard still been in charge".....true cause he would have had access and would not had to break in...get it (access).
