A good samaritan trying to help a stranded motorists inadvertently triggers a chain reaction wreck on Highway 6 Sunday afternoon.
Traffic between Bryan and Hearne was at a standstill for over half an hour as emergency responders worked the accident.
According to the DPS, a driver had stopped in the left hand lane to try to turn around and assist a stranded driver on the side of the highway. Another vehicle coming from behind hit the stopped car and was then rear-ended by a second vehicle.
Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

"not a Texan": Just so you know, I was driving and not my husband, I had my cruise set on 70mph(which is the legal speed on a clear day, which it was), was not following too close, and the accident started on the OTHER side of the centerline. One of the those vehicles crossed the center line and was headed straight for us.They swerved back the other way and I slowed down and stopped on the shoulder. I have traveled this road for the better part of 15 years to teach in Hearne.I know how dangerous this highway is and that's why I am very careful and have always adjusted my speed depending in the conditions and weather. So to be clear, I was almost involved in this wreck because someone else on the other side of the road made a bad choice that day, NOT ME!Again, I am very thankful that no one was kill or seriously injured and that the rest of us that day were able to somehow avoid being involved in this accident!

oh this bryan that wants me to start using comma's and period's...i thought this story was about the bad wreck on hiway 6..not me and my comma or period .....and yes i am a man.....that has a life....so now you get one...stay outta peoples business.....
