Monday morning, News 3 hosted a forum on College Station's red light camera ballot issue.

On Brazos Valley This Morning, representatives from both sides of the debate were live to discuss their beliefs about the program, which will be voted on Tuesday.

Election Day is Tuesday
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

To find your polling place in Brazos County, go to BrazosVotes.org

To find your polling place anywhere in Texas and learn more about the state constitutional amendments, go to the Secretary of State's election website.

Join News 3 and KBTX.com Tuesday night for full results.

Emily Reiter with the Keep College Station Safe political action committee argued that the cameras were a strong deterrent for red light running and a safety tool that should be used in the city.

Jim Ash with the Take Back Your City PAC said the cameras were unconstitutional because there is not an appeals process, and are simply a revenue generator for College Station.

You can watch the entire forum from the region's only local morning show by clicking above this story.

We've also provided a link below to the KEOS 89.1 website. Sunday night, Ash and Reiter discussed the issue in a forum on the "Information Underground" program. You can listen to a repeat of that show.

One question, if he did not run the light, why pay the ticket? Not saying this is the case but if my son/daughter were driving my car and got a ticket, guess who is paying the ticket. They are. So why not make the person driving pay the ticket.

No Anonymous, this is not the "end of debate". Period! Maybe the bill of Rights does not matter to you. However, it matters to the men and women serving in the arms forces. Using your faulty logic, the 4th Amendment protections against search and seizure should be waved in the interest of safety, as well. In that case I am sure you will have no problem with the government coming to your house tonight at Midnight, to search your home on fishing expedition. You can not pick and choose which parts of the Bill of Rights you want. You take it all, like it or not. Since you don't appreciate those rights, perhaps you should consider relocating to China or Cuba. YOU ARE UNAMERICAN! If I held your views, I would be posting anonymously too.

Everyone who is arguing about 'it wasn't Jim driving the car', I say don't lend your car to irresponsible drivers - make sure you know who is driving and make sure the driver knows they he/she is responsible for any infractions. Period! End of debate. The rest of you crying about civil liberties and such - stop running red lights, you won't have tickets, the company and the city will stop making money and the debate is over! Driving and running red lights is NOT A RIGHT it is a privilege and all privileges come with rules and responsibilities. If you cannot obey those rules (stopping for a red light) and accept the responsibilities (lending your car to irresponsible drivers )then stop-gaps must be placed to help the rest of the law-abiding society around you.
