Starting next fall, Blinn College students will be paying a little extra to go to school. The board voted Wednesday to raise tuition for some and the general fee for all.
Students who live in Washington County will not see their tuition go up. They will still pay $35 per semester hour.
Those who live outside Washington County and outside the State of Texas will get an extra $4 per hour tuition tacked on to their existing rates of $64 and $140 respectively. All students will pay an extra $2 dollars for the general fee which will increase to $30.
Blinn administrators say the increase was needed to offset the freeze on funding from the state.

Vote to make Brazos County part of the voting district, and we'll pay in-district fees. Better yet, make the Bryan campuses an independent community college.
Ok, if you think the cost is outrageous, try paying out of state tuition. Then tell me the cost is outrageous.
This is crazy! If we live in Bryan we shouldn't be having to pay extra! The cost is already outrageous, there is no need in making it more. If anything they need to be lowering it.
