Former Bryan Mayor Picked to Address SHSU Grads
A former Bryan mayor has been selected to give the winter commencement address to Sam Houston State University graduates.

A former Bryan mayor has been selected to give the winter commencement address to Sam Houston State University graduates.
Ron Blatchley will speak at both the morning and afternoon graduation ceremonies at Johnson Coliseum on December 19. Blatchely is the current chairman of the Texas State University Board of Regents. The Sam Houston State alum is also a partner in BMB Homes in Bryan-College Station.
After serving as mayor of Bryan in the 1980's, Blatchley owned and operated a dozen McDonald's restaurants in the Twin Cities before retiring in 2003.

Gosh, they must be desperate, unless, of course, he is a former SHSU student - then it is possibly a reasonable decision.

This past Bryan mayor has done great things over the years since moving to CS and working for the city Of College Station. He has helped make College Station a Great American city.
