Bragging rights are on the line in the battle of the bells between the mayors of Bryan and College Station.

Bryan Mayor Mark Conlee and College Station Mayor Ben White have one hour Saturday to raise as much money as they can by ringing the bell for the Salvation Army's Kettle Campaign.

You can find the two leaders at the Bryan and College Station Wal-Marts from noon until 1 p.m. Saturday.

Wal-Mart will match the money raised up to $1,000 and pledge an additional thousand dollars to the Salvation Army on behalf of the winning mayor.

Last year, the city of Bryan won the contest raising more than $3,000. College Station raised roughly $1,600.

The winning mayor will also be presented a bell trophy by the losing mayor at an upcoming City Council meeting.
