A Sam Houston State University student cheerleading assistant coach faces a slew of charges after a night out on the town.

Jason Larkins, 24, was arrested Sunday morning at Shenanigans Nightclub in Huntsville.

Authorities say he was escorted out of the club for buying alcohol for a minor and for being intoxicated. When police tried to arrest Larkins he attempted to get away.

Larkins is charged with public intoxication, evading arrest and interfering with public duties.

He is reportedly a coach on both the all-girl and co-ed cheer squads.
