Escaped Inmate Captured in Robertson County

Authorities in Robertson County have captured an inmate who escaped custody Monday afternoon.

Deandre Kinney bolted from deputies who were transporting him around the courthouse in Franklin. Kinney, 29, had a hearing Monday, and was later found at a house two blocks from the jail.

Kinney is from Calvert and was facing charges of burglary of a habitation when he escaped.

As a result, Franklin ISD placed Roland Reynolds Elementary, Franklin Middle and Franklin High Schools on lock down.

Kinney had been in the Brazos County Jail in September and December of last year in addition to the burglary charge in Robertson County.
