Great Texas Rubber Ducky Derby Raises Money For Children's Museum

It's a race to the finish in College Station Saturday night with hundreds of duckies..

It was the Children's Museum of the Brazos Valley's annual Great Texas Rubber Ducky Derby.

Thousands of people were at Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater for the event and to see the band Texas Twisters at the Starlight Music Series.

The buyer of the first place duck received a $1,000 gift card, second place $500 and third a $250 card.

The person with the last duck to finish also got $50 bucks!

"Oh my gosh it was the third annual Great Texas Rubber Ducky Derby and this event raises money for the Children's Museum to continue our mission statement of hand's on learning at the Children's Museum," said Cathy Lyles, a Children's Museum of the Brazos Valley Board Member.

The event raised an estimated $15,000 to $20,000.
