The Walker County Sheriff's Office has a new way to help keep residents aware of illegal activity happening in their neighborhoods.
They're using an online crime map called "Raids Online" to alert the public of crimes that have been committed. Residents can also sign up for reports that will automatically be emailed to them.
Sheriff Clint McRae says people can find out what type of crimes have been reported, the location of the incident, along with the time of day it was reported.
Both the "Raids Online" service and KBTX.com's SpotCrime are linked below. SpotCrime covers Bryan, College Station, Brazos County and Huntsville.
