HOUSTON --- For the first time in several years Lake Conroe officials say there will be a huge fireworks display July 4th that anyone in sight of the lake will be able to enjoy.
It will start around 9:15 p.m. and will last about 18 minutes.
Officials are hoping the celebration will bring people in to restaurants and bars that lost money during the drought last year.
The lake is near capacity and has seen boaters return to the lake.
A spokesman from the Chamber of Commerce says while the display will be visible from almost anywhere on the lake, the best vantage sight will be from the south side of the lake.
