Missing Brazos County Man Found Safe
10 PM update-Missing Brazos County Man Found Safe

A Brazos County man missing since Thursday morning has been found safe.

Authorities located Alec "Phil" Pearson Saturday morning at the Viking Floor Supercenter along Highway 6 in south Brazos County. The 67-year-old reportedly walked into the store and asked for water.

News 3 was at the store when Pearson was taken to the College Station Medical Center for treatment. Medical personnel said besides some dehydration, he was OK.

A store official tells KBTX Pearson came in dirty and without shoes on. At first, they thought he was homeless and gave him water and pizza. After more than an hour, he reportedly told the staff that his wife was picking him up. When they asked his name, he said, "Phil." Staff then called the authorities.

Pearson, who has Alzheimer's Disease, was reported missing late Thursday afternoon after he left his home in the Nantucket community on the south side of College Station.

Search crews from across the region have been working with statewide elements to search for him. They had covered a five-mile area surrounding the home. There had been at least five reported sightings of him since the search began.
