Teen on Trial in Girl's Execution-Style Slaying

Reporter: Associated Press

HOUSTON (AP) - Prosecutors have told a Southeast Texas jury that a 19-year-old man shot a 17-year-old girl execution-style to keep her quiet about his role in a drive-by shooting.

Trial began Monday in Houston in the murder trial of Alexander Olivieri in the shooting death last year of 17-year-old classmate Bridgett Frisbie.

Prosecutor Tina Ansari told jurors Olivieri had shot at Frisbie's ex-boyfriend's house as a favor to the girl, but Frisbie began to talk about it.

Witness Alan Perez testified he and Olivieri picked up and drove Frisbie to a wooded area under the pretense of having to dig something up. He says Frisbie was digging when Olivieri put a gun to Frisbie's head and fired.

The Houston Chronicle (http://bit.ly/PgXdJM) reports the defense reserved its opening statement for after prosecutors rest.
