A SWAT standoff ended peacefully in south Austin early Monday.
Austin police said the incident started as an aggravated kidnapping, after a woman called 911 saying her roommate was taken at gunpoint to Blarwood Drive.
Officers went to the home but said no one answered, so they called SWAT knowing the suspect may be armed. APD said the woman came out uninjured around 4:20 a.m. The suspect turned himself in 25 minutes later.
