Bryan Boy's Bill Makes Daycare Safer For All Kids

Posted: 7:57 PM Jan 3, 2013
Reporter: Alex Lotz

If you have a child in daycare, you can now drop your child off knowing your little one is a little safer.

It's now illegal for a daycare to administer medicine to children without the written consent of parents or legal guardians. That includes prescriptions and over the counter medications.

The new Texas law is named after 3-and-a-half month old Nathan King of Bryan. He died of sudden infant death syndrome in 2008 at an in-home Bryan daycare after they gave him Benadryl without his parents consent.
