16 College Station Storage Units Burglarized

Many of us have too many personal belongings and not enough room to store them in.
That's why storage units are popping up across the Brazos Valley.

With the rise in those facilities comes a rise in the units being broken into.

The SecurCare Self Storage facility, off State Highway 6 in College Station, has been burglarized twice this year.
Most recently, 16 units were broken into Monday night, plus an attempted burglary, despite having several security measures in place.

If you, or your loved ones have valuables locked away in a storage space, another layer of security is to make sure insurance covers those items...some of which might not be replaceable.

So far this year, 45 storage units in College Station and 12 units in Bryan have been burglarized, according to police.
