DONNA, Texas (AP) - Authorities are investigating a drive-by shooting at a South Texas school bus stop that left two teenage boys wounded.

Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Trevino told The Monitor of McAllen (http://bit.ly/Im4kOR) the teens were wounded by another teen with a single shot that struck both about 6:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Trevino said a 14-year-old male suspect is in custody and believes the attack was retaliation for an earlier fight between two local gangs.

Trevino says a 15-year-old boy grazed by the bullet was treated for the wound at a hospital, while a 14-year-old struck in the lower abdomen underwent surgery to remove the bullet. Two other children standing at the bus stop when the shooting happened weren't injured.

A 16-year-old also in the vehicle with the shooter was detained for questioning.
