CONROE, Texas - The Associated Press reports that three people are dead and two others injured after a car slams into a pickup truck in Conroe.

The crash early Saturday in Conroe sent the car spinning from the impact, hurling one of three passengers from the vehicle.

Conroe police Sgt. Robert Engel says that person, 22-year-old David Mejia Bonilla, was killed along with the car's two other passengers, 24-year-old Alexander Moreno and 48-year-old Jose Aurelio Cantarero Benitez. The driver, 19-year-old Misael Esquibel, was taken to Conroe Regional Medical Center. Hospital spokeswoman Debra Burbridge said he was in serious condition Sunday.

The truck spun from the impact and flipped onto its side. The driver and lone occupant, 52-year-old David Burton Jackson, suffered minor injuries and declined hospitalization.
