Million-Dollar Pot Operation Busted Near Magnolia

Montgomery County investigators busted what they're calling a million-dollar marijuana growing operation.

Tuesday, with help from Grimes County, they raided a property west of Magnolia off FM 1488 near the Waller County line where they found a mobile home converted into a grow house.

Inside, they found 240 plants. Authorities say each one was capable of producing about a pound of hydroponic weed. The street value is estimated to be $5,500 a pound.

Three people were arrested, one from Grimes County, two from Harris County. One of the Harris County suspects reportedly a self-proclaimed member of the Houstone gang.

A firearm was also found on one of the people arrested. Additional charges related to it were filed.
