American Red Cross To Honor Our Patriots At Upcoming Event

A first of its kind event is coming to Aggieland as the American Red Cross of the Brazos Valley says thank you to our local heroes.

The Honoring Our Patriots event is happening June 18th at Pebble Creek Country Club starting at 7 P.M.

The Red Cross will be honoring local past and present military heroes with a dinner and guest speaker in an effort to raise money for the work the Red Cross provides.

Tickets for the dinner are $100 each and will go towards supporting the American Red Cross.

The guest speaker is Vietnam prisoner of war Dave Carey, who was shot down and imprisoned in Hanoi for five and a half years.

Monday, May 21st is the deadline to honor a local service hero. For $50 the Red Cross will put their photograph and a brief description of when, where and what branch of the military they served in, which should run in "The Eagle" Memorial Day weekend.

Tickets for the dinner are available in advance as well as the night of the event.
