Reporter: Steve Fullhart

A Navasota convenience store worker got an unpleasant surprise when authorities say a potential customer took their vehicle into the building.

Denise Wilson, 36, faces an intoxication assault with a vehicle charge. Monday around 10:00 p.m., police say she intended to hit her brakes when pulling into the Hi Ho Store and Cafe at Highway 105 and Highway 6. Instead, she hit her accelerator.

Police say Wilson's car went crashing through the store front. The clerk suffered head and arm injuries, but nothing life threatening.

A call to the store Friday was not answered.

NPD's report states alcohol was a contributing factor to the crash.
