A suspect wanted for a murder charge out of Louisiana is now in police custody.
Investigators say 23-year-old Kerwin D. Borden had warrants in New Orleans for second degree murder and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
Detectives encountered Borden Thursday shortly after 3:00 p.m. in the 2400 block of Longmire Drive, where he was taken into custody.
According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, authorities there believe Borden shot and killed 31-year-old Christian Medrano on May 15. He was on probation for cocaine possession.
