Feast of Caring Set for Wednesday

A simple meal could go a long way towards helping people in need in the area.

The Brazos Valley Food Bank will host its 19th annual Feast of Caring at the Brazos Center Wednesday. The event runs from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

As in previous years, the menu includes just beans, rice and sausage, along with a salad and a dessert. The meal is to show how modest some families' meals are in the area.

Local celebrities, including KBTX personalities, will be serving the food, which is free. Donations will be accepted and go towards the Brazos Valley Food Bank in its effort to fight hunger in the region.

The Brazos Center is located at 3232 Briarcrest Drive in Bryan.
