Father Charged With Leaving Daughter Alone In Car

AUSTIN, Texas - Police have arrested an Austin man who is accused of leaving his young daughter alone in a car and then forgetting where the vehicle was parked.
The Austin American-Statesman reports (http://bit.ly/ZyqTbf ) Patrick Husband has been charged with endangering a child for leaving his 22-month-old daughter alone.
According to an arrest affidavit, the 27-year-old father gave different accounts of what happened when he couldn't find the vehicle Tuesday evening, including claiming that the vehicle had been stolen.
Police say Husband told authorities that he had up to four drinks during the evening.
Police found the car with the girl inside less than a block away from where Husband had claimed he had left it.
Husband remains jailed on $40,000 bail. Jail records did not list an attorney for him.
