Parents were notified about what happened and admit this makes them nervous. ,P.”It’s very scary knowing that something bad could happen,” said parent Dawn Clark. “I mean, you hear about this stuff on the news all the time.”

The Brazoria County District Attorney's Office filed a terroristic threat charge against the 11-year-old.

Onesimo Lopez. “You can't make an idle threat like this and expect nothing will happen.”

Pearland ISD says there was an increased police presence at Rogers Middle School on Thursday.

In a news release, the district says, “Our top priority is maintaining a safe and secure educational environment for our students, and we immediately investigate rumors connected to their safety. We encourage students to talk to a trusted adult if they hear or see anything out of the ordinary or suspicious.”
