A College Station Hotel is seeing red in February but it's all for a good cause.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, killing more than 600,000 Americans each year. February is American Heart Month and the College Station Hilton is supporting the American Heart Association and you can help too. The light-bulbs on the roof will be temporarily switched to red and the hotel is accepting donations to buy a bulb.

In October the hotel did a similar switch-out when it went pink for breast cancer awareness. The 480 light bulbs will start being switched to red on Friday.

"We are going to Red at the Hilton and we're going to be selling out all light bulbs at the hotel. So for $10 a piece you can buy a light bulb and we are going to turn the whole roofline red for heart month for the month of February,” said Hilton Hotel Manager James Franks.

The hotel hopes to raise upwards of $5,000. For more information you can call or stop by the hotel on University Drive.
