Navasota rolls past Jasper in area round playoff game

CONROE -- The Navasota Rattlers beat Jasper 59-14 Friday night at Moorhead Stadium in a Class 3A Division 2 area round playoff game. The Rattlers are now 12-0 on the season. Navasota ended the regular season ranked number one in the Associated Press Class 3A poll.

Navasota opened the scoring on the second play from scrimmage when Kadarius Baker hit Solomon McGinty with a 40 yard touchdown pass. The Rattlers would find the end zone later in the first quarter on a Baker 24 yard touchdown pass to Austin Collins. Collins would score three touchdown in the game. Xavier Creeks would have a big night as well scoring a pair of touchdowns in the second quarter.

The Rattlers will face La Marque in their third round game November 30 at Woodforest Bank Stadium in Shenandoah.
