NEW YORK --- Three more Texas A&M football players heard their names called on the final day of the 2012 NFL Draft, bringing the total number of Aggies drafted to four.
Drafted on Saturday were consensus All-America placekicker Randy Bullock, running back Cyrus Gray and cornerback Terrence Frederick. They joined quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who was selected eighth overall on Thursday.
Bullock, who led the nation in field goals last season and won the Lou Groza Place-kicker Award, was taken by his hometown Houston Texans in the fifth round. Gray, who set A&M’s career records for all-purpose and kickoff return yardage, was picked in the sixth round by the Kansas City Chiefs. Frederick, a four-year starter with 30 career broken up passes, was picked in the seventh round by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The four selections were the most for A&M since 2008 when five Aggies were picked in the NFL Draft.
