Send Baseball Schedules Pair of Tune-ups for Region XIV Tournament

BRENHAM, TX -- Blinn College baseball fans will get an opportunity to see their favorite ball club two more times before the Region XIV Conference Tournament begins on May 12.

The Buccaneers have added a pair of games to their schedule to tune up for the conference tournament. Blinn will host Alvin Community College for a single game at 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, then host the defending national champion Navarro College Bulldogs for a single 3 p.m. game on Sunday, May 6. Both games will be played at Leroy Dreyer Field.

The Buccaneers recently closed out conference play with a three-game sweep of Galveston College, finishing their regular season with a 31-21 record. The Bucs were 21-13 in conference.
The Region XIV Tournament will begin May 12 in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Blinn will face Texarkana, the No. 3 seed from the East Zone, in an opening-round game at 1 p.m. that day. The Bucs are the No. 2 seed out of the South Zone.

The winner of the Region XIV Tournament advances to the Junior College World Series held in Grand Junction, Colo.
