OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Evan Mistich's two-out infield single drove in Erik Ross for the tie-breaking run in the bottom of the ninth inning, giving Oklahoma a 3-2 win over regular-season champion Baylor in the Big 12 tournament Thursday.
Steven Okert (8-6) allowed one base runner in two innings of scoreless relief of starter Jordan John.
Baylor (43-13) plays Kansas State on Friday afternoon for the right to meet Oklahoma (37-21) on Saturday morning. The Sooners, who beat Oklahoma State on Garrett Carey's walk-off home run Thursday, need one more win to play for their first conference tournament title since 1997.
The Sooners tied it 2-2 in the seventh on Cody Reine's fifth home run of the season and won it against Dillon Newman (3-3) after Ross doubled with one out in the ninth, moved to third on a grounder and came home when Mistich beat out a high chopper to shortstop.
