Bryan gets past McNeil and into the regional finals

ROUND ROCK, Texas -- The Bryan Vikings scored in the top half of the 7th and got the final out on a play at the plate in the bottom of the inning to beat McNeil 3-2 and advance to the 5A Region II finals.

Colin Fry drove in Jacob Huckabay to give the Vikings a 3-2 lead in the top of the 7th. In the bottom half Maverick Brennon Veazey tried to come home on an infield hit, but Huckabay blocked the plate, and Veazey went out of the basepath to try to touch home. He was ruled out, and the Vikings won the series 2-1.

Bryan will face A&M Consolidated for the regional championship.
