COLLEGE STATION -- Plano knocked off Alvin Manvel 45-28 to claim the 7-on-7 Division I State Championship Saturday afternoon at Kyle Field.
A&M Consolidated won their pool on Friday but could not overcome Edcouch-Elsa in the first round of championship bracket play Saturday morning, falling to the Yellow Jackets 40-33.
Tyler John Tyler won the consolation bracket with a 49-28 victory over San Antonio O'Connor.
