AAA: Texas Retail Gasoline Prices Up 3 Cents
Posted: 05/16/2013 - Retail gasoline prices in Texas have risen 3 cents this week to reach an average $3.41 per gallon.
Many motorists are experiencing some relief at the pump but those buying diesel aren't so lucky.
Across the country, high diesel prices continue to plague truckers.
Although the price of diesel fuel dropped a dollar in the past month, many truckers said it's still too high to help the industry.
The national average for diesel fuel is around three dollars and fifty cents, which is down from nearly five-dollars a gallon.
Many truckers said they need even lower prices to be profitable again.
Experts say the way diesel is made should make it cheaper, but high demand keeps prices high, forcing many out of the business.
