AAA: Texas Retail Gasoline Prices Up 3 Cents
Posted: 05/16/2013 - Retail gasoline prices in Texas have risen 3 cents this week to reach an average $3.41 per gallon.
Once again we have a new low price for gasoline in the Brazos Valley and it comes from a repeat performer.
The Slovacek's in Snook has yet again, the lowest price in the Brazos Valley at $2.29 for a gallon of unleaded. The only other place we could find that price is at the A-1 in Bremond.
As for the highest price, the Exxon on the corner of Boonville and Highway 30 has gas at $2.49 a gallon, but it isn't the sole station in town charging the price. Several area stations are charging the same amount for a gallon of gas.
Now when you look at a county by county map of Texas gas prices, Brazos, Burleson, and Fort Bend County are charging the most, this side of Interstate 35.
In Austin, gas is going for as low as $2.09 a gallon and the state's low price leader is once again Harlingen at $1.93 a gallon.
