Retail Gasoline Prices Across Texas Up 2 Cents
Updated: 05/22/2013 - Retail gasoline prices across Texas have risen 2 cents as travelers prepare for the long Memorial Day holiday weekend.
Yesterday we told you where you could find gas for $1.99 a gallon and today that trend continues at even more area gas stations.
In Huntsville, gas is going for $1.99 the Highway Food Store.
Closer to Bryan/College Station, we told you about the Diamond Shamrock on East 29th, who was the first to drop gas below the $2 mark. But now Walmart on Braircrest, along with the Kroger on Boonville, and the Diamond Shamrock across from the Bryan Post Office all have gas for just $1.99 a gallon.
Now if you trying to stay away from expensive gas, just avoid Harvey Mitchell Parkway all together. Gas at every station on that street is selling for $2.29 a gallon.
And when it comes to the state right now, gas in Austin is down to $1.83 a gallon, in McAllen it's going for $1.78 a gallon, but the cheapest gas in the state is in Houston on Hwy 6. There you can fill up for just $1.74 a gallon.
