AAA: Texas Retail Gasoline Prices Up 3 Cents
Posted: 05/16/2013 - Retail gasoline prices in Texas have risen 3 cents this week to reach an average $3.41 per gallon.
It's the start of another week here in the Brazos Valley and the price at the pump continues to go down.
The new statewide average is at $2.05 a gallon, down from the record setting $3.99 price from July.
But it was last week when gas officially went under $2 dollars a gallon here in Bryan College Station and now it's even cheaper.
The Valero on East 29th, right next door to our station, has gas for just $1.89 a gallon, the cheapest gas in town.
But you can find gas for $1.95 a gallon at the Walmart on Braircrest, the Kroger on Boonville, and the HEB on Villa Maria.
And Bryan isn't the only town with $1.89 gas. We want to thank Mickey Ray who emailed us a picture from the Valero in Hempstead which has gas at the same price.
Remember you too can help out pump patrol. Just email us a picture of a high or low gas price to pumppatrol@ kbtx.com and we'll check it out.
