A pair of Bryan businesses have been nominated for what the New York Post has called "the business world's own Oscar Awards."

Neutral Posture and Turek's Computer DR are up for honors at the annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business, presented by Infiniti.

According to their website, the mission of the Stevie Awards "is to raise the profile of exemplary companies and individuals among the press, the business community, and the general public."

The winners will be announced at a ceremony at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas on November 12.

The name for the award is from the name Stephen, which, according to the award's website, comes from the Greek word for "crowned."
