The Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce celebrated another year of business service Monday night.
The annual banquet at the Hilton served to honor businesspeople and their commitment to the area.
KBTX Media General Manager Mike Wright emceed the event, with the son of the 41st president, Neil Bush, giving the keynote address.
"I know this community is enriched with service, corporate service into the community, individual service, religious and others, so I'm probably preaching to the choir, but I'll talk about Dad's life a bit in the context of service," Bush said.
Ambassador of the Year honors went to John Seigler of Brazos Valley Communications. Jarrod Hix of AG Edwards was the Volunteer of the Year. Citizen of the Year honors went to local dentist William Birdwell.
"To come into the heart of this culture and to be able to present in front of a group of active community leaders is a real pleasure," Bush said. "It's a real thrill for me."
