A long-time retirement community in Bryan is expanding. Crestview revealed its building campaign and future plans Tuesday at a luncheon at Miramont Country Club in Bryan.
Groundbreaking on a new building at Crestview Retirement Community is planned for Spring 2008. The $14.5 million campaign for Phase I includes assisted and independent living wings, and separate nursing wings at their current Villa Maria location. There will also be two swimming pools and a wellness center.
A second phase of the project will feature a three-story independent living building surrounded by an expanded lake and garden vista setting.
Crestview Board President Bill Birdwell announced Tuesday that two of the nursing wings be named in honor of civic leaders, James William Stegall and William Howard and Mary Ritchey.
Another wing will be called the "Leadership in Faith", honoring all retired clergy who have served Crestview over the years. Crestview is a faith-based senior living residence.
Donations are being accepted for the building campaign.
