Police have arrested the woman they say robbed a Bryan bank at gunpoint.

Leola Maxey, 35, was taken into custody just after 5 p.m Thursday in the 2200 block of Briarcrest Drive.

Bond has been set at $150,000.

Police believe Maxey robbed the Texas Enterprise Bank on West Villa Maria Thursday morning.

A patrol officer recognized Maxey from witnesses description.

Police say when they pulled her over, evidence in Maxey's car linked her to the crime.

Witnesses at the bank say the robber waited in a teller line, then pulled out a revolver and fled with cash.

Maxey is no stranger to the law. Just last month, she was indicted for stealing thousands of dollars from a local company.
